The new MEDPOR SST-EZ Implant is designed with a smooth, porous anterior surface which may help to minimize late implant exposure and suture tunnels to allow easy rectus muscle attachment without the use of an implant wrap. The tunnels in the new MEDPOR SST-EZ are designed curved for easier insertion of ophthalmic needles typically used to attach the extra-ocular muscles to the implant.
