Porex Surgical Inc. Receives Highest U.S. Export Award

Porex Surgical, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Porex Corporation (Fairburn, GA), announced today it has received the President's "E" Award for Exports, the highest honor from the United States government for American firms which export its products to overseas markets. The official presentation was incorporated into a keynote address made by U.S. Commerce Secretary Donald L. Evans at the Georgia Chamber of Commerce Congressional Luncheon in Atlanta on August 23, 2001.

In a letter of commendation Secretary Evans stated; "I am very pleased to recognize the achievements of Porex Surgical in opening new markets around the world for its products.
