Designed in Conjunction with Steven Dresner, M.D.
The MCOI was designed to provide volume in the orbit with a similar
diameter of implant. Because the additional volume is posterior,
a 16 mm MCOI will have the same volume as an 18 mm spherical implant.
An 18 mm MCOI would have the same volume as a 20 mm implant. The
MCOI has a 6 mm flat anterior surface that provides a slight edge
for effortless passing of a suture for muscle insertion.
Implants are provided STERILE, packaged individually in double
peel pouches.
