The new MEDPOR Midface Rim is designed to augment areas of bony concavities
of the midface, including the inferior orbital rim and malar. When positioned
in the hollow under the eye, the MEDPOR Midface Rim implant aids in restoring
the natural convexity of the lower eyelids and cheeks. The implant provides
an excellent working contour for patients with orbital rim recession and mild
midface hypoplasia. The medial area of the implant may be carved as necessary
or utilized in its entirety to augment a tear trough depression.
