MEDPORŽ Coated Tear Drain Instrument Set

The MEDPOR Coated Tear Drain Instrument Set is designed to aid in the sizing
and placement of the MEDPOR Coated Tear Drain.
The set includes a stainless steel measuring rod, precision millimeter gauge,
inserter, trocar and sterilization tray. The measuring rod is inserted
through the conjunctival opening into the nasal cavity so that the tip
of the rod touches the nasal septum. Slide the millimeter gauge over
the measuring rod and through the conjunctiva where the tear drain
would normally be located. The gauge located on the end of the measuring
rod will indicate the proper length of the MEDPOR Coated Tear Drain.
Keeping the rod in place, remove the gauge and slide the appropriately
sized MEDPOR Coated Tear Drain over the rod, followed by the inserter.
Push the MEDPOR Coated Tear Drain into position by applying gentle
downward pressure on the inserter.
